Si Des Restaurant, The Hague
One of the main reason why I love being in Netherlands is because it’s easy to find good Indonesian restaurants or take-away. However, when you are talking to native Indonesian, you will hear a lot about going to The Hague to have the most authentic Indonesian cuisine in Netherlands, not Amsterdam. And they are rightfully so. You can find many good Indonesian restaurants there, and even better with much affordable price tags. One of them is Si Des.
Having visited many Indonesian restaurants in different countries, to my surprise Si Des looks very professional. The restaurant is decorated in such away to show people that this place is run by professionals. The restaurant also located in a very strategic location, near City Hall of The Hague. So it’s very near to the centraal train station. Once you’re there, you will be served with menu made of wood. Cool, right?
What about the food? The portion is awesome, especially when you compare with the price tag. We tried Sate Padang, Batagor, Bebek Kremes, and Iga Penyet, and all were wonderful. The sambal? Ah…one of the best I’ve ever had so far.
So, look no further! When you’re in The Hague, Netherlands and craving good Indonesian restaurant, you should visit Si Des.
